Ritz Carlton Dove Mountain Clubhouse

We are happy to report that the Ritz Carlton Dove Mountain Golf Clubhouse has been awarded the "Best in Show" honor by the Arizona chapter of the American Society of Interior Designers, ASID. Located in the town of Marana, just north of Tuscon, the Golf Clubhouse opened last spring. Studio4design was the interior designer for the clubhouse, designed by Doug Frederickson Architects. The clubhouse sits on an incredible high desert site, and the Jack Nicholas PGA Championship 18 hole golf course is the home of the World Golf Championship Accenture Match Play Championship, in which Tiger Woods played last spring.

Japanese Friendship Garden "Sei Chin" Building Opens

The award winning RO HO EN Restroom Building has opened at the Japanese Friendship Garden in Phoenix, Arizona. Studio4Design in association with Tendo Associates of Kobe, Japan were the Architects for three traditional Japanese Buildings, with Sei Chin the first to be completed as a LEED principled building at the Garden. The City of Himeji, Japan in partnership with the City of Phoenix, Arizona have developed the Japanese Friendship Garden located on the deck park west of Central Avenue, in Phoenix, Arizona. The three traditional Japanese Buildings include a Restroom building and Tubo-niwa garden (an indoor or walled garden), and storage. This is the now completed "Sei Chin". An Entry Building that will consist of an office, indoor garden, meeting room, gift shop and a walled Zen-type garden, Karesansu, and adjacent viewing area will be completed in the next phase. The Viewing Pavilion will be located adjacent to the Japanese Friendship Garden central water feature. An outdoor tea garden area with view to the rest of the Garden and water feature will be included. The Japanese Friendship Garden, located adjacent to the Deck Park in Downtown Phoenix, Arizona, has been master planned to be complete in three phases, two of which are complete: Phase I (complete) The first phase is now seven years old and consists of the Tea House and Roji (the garden around the Tea House) Phase II (complete) The second phase consisted of the remaining landscape area, pond and pump house, waterfall, parking lot, lighting, and gate and perimeter wall. Phase II was completed in August of 2002.

Boulders Golf Clubhouse

studio4design has completed the design and construction document phase with the Blackstone Group and the Membership at the Boulders Resort to renovate the Golf Clubhouse. Construction of the renovation and addition is currently on hold with a possibility of beginning in the second quarter of 2010.
